I received Dr. Wayne W Dyer’s Spiritual Solutions on DVD in the mail from NetFlix today. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the program. I watched it twice.
I gathered many cool points, I’m so thankful that I found the experiment he did in the program and also the prayer from Frances of Assi’s prayer. A lot of what he said sparked many ideas and realizations. I’m going through a hard time, re-evaluating many aspects of my life. Seems to me that I’m always doing that, maybe life is about evaluating what works and what doesn’t. I’m at a turning point in my life and a choice must be executed no matter what. I am going to follow through on something that my inner self has been telling me for a long time. It’s time… Taking a break from a certain relationship on my own terms, instead of his, and I am sure I’ll be lonely and want to contact him in some form, I also believe that I am strong and stubborn enough to not do it. I proved that to myself already with other things.
LORD, make us instruments of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let us sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is discord, union;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that we may not seek to much
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardonning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen

Am in a nostalgic mood. Mama Cass Elliott was my favorite when I was a young girl of thirteen. I enjoy this song a lot, many actually. So, I picked two to post on my Sunday Serenity...

Sunday Serenity #25
I am going to list five things that have brought me peace this week. Several peaceful moments happened this week.
1. Sitting with my friend Amber Dawn at the nail salon in Longview, both of us getting our nails done.
2. Hanging with Amber Dawn and Amber May one of their homes and visiting, then going to Porkys’, where I had a pina colada.
3. Shopping at the store, buying a wok and envisioning all the wonderful food I could make.
4. Getting my new Dr. Scholls walking shoes and planning on walking adventures.
5. Watching several movies: The Mist, I Am Legend, and Bridget Jones Diary.

Sunday Serenity #24
From a young age, Music brought me comfort, peace, and creativity into my life. I took this quiz, which is fun to do a times. During this period in my life, with everything that is going on, with my diagnosis of heart failure at age 33, and
having to choose between living or dying, and then being asked by my best friend to be a brides maid in her wedding next year, a lot of great things are happening, meaningful, thought provoking, and scary all in one big package.

You Are Classical Music |
You are a somewhat serious person who enjoys studying subjects deeply. Art of all kinds interests you, and a good piece of art can really effect you emotionally. You are inspired by human achievement, and you appreciate work that takes years to accomplish. For you, the finer things in life are not about snobbery - they're about quality. |

Sunday Serenity #23
I find friends a source of peace for me. At different times in my life different ones have been there to listen, be a shoulder, or to tell me something bluntly and kindly when I needed to know something. I have few close friends, Joy (my sister and friend), Vickie (my sister and friends), Amber Dawn, Amber Lou, and Amber May who are the best girlfriends ever and Monte who is a good guy friend... I am blessed.

Sunday Serenity #21
This book is a sojourn into your own soul, which Caroline Myss calls your castle. I'm not far into "Enter The Castle", I am still noticing subtle changes in my thoughts. Probing deeply into your soul is the goal, appreciating the connection you do have with God, being mindful of your actions that do have an affect on others. Connected we all are, whether we want to believe it or not. Knowing this, reading "Enter The Castle", and gaining new perspective is a sense of serenity for me.

Sunday Serenity #20
I have always found trees serene. When younger, a forest existed in Eastern Washington, Benton City where I lived. I use to go out in the grove and hang out for hours. Partly, to get away from my mom, but mostly, because I could listen to my inner voice. Each tree, shaped differently, had personality, and I loved to rub my hands on the bark and feel the rough texture of it’s skin. I love watching spring and fall come, because of the different colors. Anyway, I bought myself a cool book called :The Meaning Of Trees Written by Fred Hageneder, who inspired this post. I want to post about the different trees. Their vastness is far and long, so many different types. Here are 4 trees, I liked in the book. I didn’t write all the information about them.
Maple: (Aceraceae) There are 100 species of this tree. The symbol:
The Divine Association: Nanahboozhoo (Salteaux Indian)
Astrological Association: Jupitor
Superstition: The Roman grammarian Servius noted in C. 400ce that, as the Trojan horse had been made from maple wood, the maple was a tree that brought bad luck.
Historical spotlight: The Sycamore tree was first recorded in England in 1578, possibly brought from Europe by the Crusaders. It’s English name is a misspelling of Sycomore fig, a tree native to Egypt and Palestine.
Alder:
There are 35 species.
Symbolism: Release
Divine Association: Bran (Welsh) Phoronneus (Greek)
Astrological Association: Neptune.
Monkey Puzzle (Araucaria) :
There are 15 species.
Symbolism: Care
Divine Association: Pehuencha and Pehuenkuze (native Chilean)
Astrological Associations: Saturn and Mars
Historical Spotlight: Early European observers apparently wondered how a monkey could climb the sharp spikes of the trunk and branches. However, there are no monkeys in the forests of Chile.
Birch (Betula):
There are 60 species.
Symbolism: Renewal and Protection
Divine Association: The white Goddess, Brigid (Celtic ), Freya and Frigga (Norse), Venus (Roman)
Astrological Association: Venus
Historical Spotlight: In 1893, the British intelligence officer Captain H. Bower brought back from Turkestan one of the worlds oldest birch bark manuscripts , dating from 350ce.

Sunday Serenity #18
Shopping, I know, I know, doesn't sound peaceful. This trip was different. I went with a friend, she got permission to change the wallpaper border in her bathroom from the manager. So, we went to Lowe's and it was fun to look at the paint chips. I picked out two colors that I want to change my bedroom into. I kept them for rememberance of what I want.
We also went to Target. I like Target so much better than Walmart. There I saw my dream desk that I want. Right now, my computer is on a card table in my office. I don't like it at all. I don't know, usually, I hate shopping, today, was different. I saw some amazing things on there and I it also helped that I just read about walking meditation in "The Art Of Power" book. Friends, shopping, beautiful things brings me peace. I send everyone peace and blessings.

I chose nature for what brings me at peace. I am excited because I am getting my new digital camera and I'll soon be able to go out into the world and take pictures of the beautiful things I see around me.

Feng Shui is something I've been interested in for a long time. I do know that when my home and environment is in order and it manifests the balance that I need. Here is a guide that I found on Youtube that explains it...

Sunday Serenity #11
This is a song on Pat Benatar album Innamorta and this song I have been playing around for a week and it has helped me feel forgiveness towards Monte and what has happened between him and I. The only part is, he wasn't a lover, he was a dear friend. The part where she says, I want to replace you with forgiveness brought tears to my eyes, because I have to forgive him and myself. I wish him nothing but the best and I hope he is truly happy. I will always care and wish him nothing but the best always.
Pat Benatar
Angry:
I walk around pretending you were never here, but the smell of you is everywhere. I ache so bad for you I want to shed my skin. Trying to keep my thoughts from turning into you.
I'm not angry anymore. I'm not angry. I"m not angry anymore.
There is no wound as deep as a lover's betrayal. NO touch as tender as your lovers hand . You were so generous with both that I nearly died. Took all my dignity until there was nothing left inside. I'm not angry anymore, i'm not angry, I"m not angry anymore.
I just want to forget you, I just want to erase you, and replace you with forgiveness. I"m not angry anymore, i'm not angry, i'm not angry anymore.
YOu were so generous with both that i nearly died, I'm not angry anymore, i'm not angry, I'm not angry anymore. I just want to forget you and replace you with forgiveness. I'm not angry anymore. I'm not angry anymore.
